Libraries in Kanagawa

YNU members can borrow books from libraries in Kanagawa for free.

This service allows you to search for and borrow books that are available for loan through a cross-library search of public libraries within the prefecture, free of charge.
You can borrow up to 5 books per person for approximately 3 weeks.
The borrowing and returning counter is the Central Library Reference Desk.
It takes 1-2 weeks for the books to arrive.
How to Use
- Step 1: Use the YNU OPAC to confirm that the book you want to borrow is not available on campus.
- Step 2: Use the KL-NET Cross-library Search to confirm that the book you want to borrow is available at a library within the prefecture.
- Step 3: Log in to My Library and submit an ILL (Interlibrary Loan) application.
  ※*If you only wish to borrow from institutions with free shipping, please select "KL-NET(Range of domestic and Free)" as the scope of the request.
- Step 4: You will be notified by email when the book arrives. Please come to the Reference Desk.

This service allows YNU members to visit participating university libraries in the Yokohama City University Library Consortium, generally with a student ID or other form of identification.
- Keio University Hiyoshi Media Center requires a letter of introduction.
- Toin Yokohama University University Information Center requires prior contact.
- The Toyo Eiwa University Library and the Ferris University Library are not available to male students.
- Other restrictions may apply regarding usage periods, etc.

Libraries listed in the Member Libraries List (Interlibrary Loan Manual) can be used with a Kanagawa Prefecture University Library Common Access Card and a student ID or other form of identification.
Undergraduate students may have restrictions on use. Please check the Member Libraries List (Interlibrary Loan Manual) before visiting the library you plan to go to.

This service allows you to visit and use the Kanagawa Learning Center Library of the Open University of Japan with your student ID or other identification.
