Purpose of the YNU Proud Alumni Collection

Amidst rapid social changes, such as globalization and the advancement of information technology, the learning and living environments surrounding the YNU students are also undergoing significant transformations. In these circumstances, the University supports students in their studies, research, lifestyle, and career paths from various perspectives, helping them consider how to envision their future direction and what choices to make.
Students are increasingly finding opportunities for self-reflection, such as listening to lectures by alumni, developing interests outside their majors, being inspired by friends' experiences, and confronting changing social conditions.
The YNU Proud Alumni Collection was established with the hope that it will provide students contemplating their future with an opportunity to gain insights, lessons, and inspiration from the footsteps of their alumni, enabling lifelong life planning and self-realization.
The collection honors alumni who have made significant contributions to society, including those active in various fields and those who have since passed away, having achieved notable accomplishments.
The Alumni featured in the collections are selected by a committee established by the University, based on recommendations and cooperation from the University's alumni association.
We hope the collection will contribute to producing outstanding individuals who will thrive in global fields and also benefit the local community broadly.

YNU Proud Alumni Collection Unveiling Ceremony

On March 27, 2015, the unveiling ceremony for the "YNU Proud Alumni Collection" was held at the University Library. The collection aims to inspire current students by showcasing the achievements of alumni who have made significant contributions to society, such as those who have achieved notable milestones, and to help them envision their future and plan their lives to achieve self-realization. In 2013, the first year of the library, three individuals (all deceased) recommended by the Alumni Association were selected as "YNU Proud Alumni," and their achievements are now on display.
