Use of Library of Other Universities
If the materials you need are not available from the University,
you can use a library of another university provided that you have a
letter of introduction issued by Yokohama National University Library.
As it takes at least 1 week for a letter to be issued, please apply
well in advance. (When applying, the materials you need must be specified.
You can use the library for one day per one letter of introduction.)
However, no letter is required if you are:
In any case, you will be required to comply with the instructions of the
library concerned, including user rules, etc.
Visiting a library affiliated to another national university corporation
by Student Card or identification card (for graduate
students and senior members only)
Graduate students can visit and use libraries affiliated to other national
university corporations with their Student Card. Teaching
staff can do the same with their identification card.
Visiting another university library in the Prefecture by a common library
pass (for graduate students and senior members only)
Graduate students can use a common pass for university libraries
in Kanagawa Prefecture valid until the end of the academic year, giving
privileges similar to researchers.
Letters of introduction and common pass for university libraries
in Kanagawa Prefecture are issued at the Reference Desk on the second
floor of the Central Library, and in the Research Library for Science and
Technology (Application Hours: 9:00-17:00 from Monday through Friday)
